Hello my name is Phillip VanWinkle, I am a Republican candidate for the office of Circuit Clerk for Newton County. Let me tell you about myself.

Graduated from Neosho High School. Attended Crowder College and Missouri Southern State College.

My father, Oscar VanWinkle worked at Pet Milk until it closed down and then worked for the Neosho R-V School District until retirement.

My mother, Peggy VanWinkle, is now semi-retired with the Neosho R-V School District.

My sister, Brenda Brown worked for Community Bank and Trust until we lost her to cancer about 2 years ago. She leaves behind a husband, Chris Brown and one son.

My brother, Gary VanWinkle works at La-Z-Boy and is married to Melinda, they have 3 sons.

I'm in my mid 40s and married to Teresa Harrison VanWinkle, we will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this summer. We have a daughter Wendy VanWinkle who currently lives in Springfield.

Family man and community volunteer. Graduated from Neosho High School. Attended Crowder College and Missouri Southern State College.

Employed as a Deputy Sheriff with Newton County Sheriff's Department since August 1985 and also works part time with Autozone since 2004
